2024 Honda Prologue Electric SUV – Honda predicts that by 2030, fuel cell and battery electric vehicles will make up 40% of the company’s North American annual sales. The company will double this percentage by 2035 before it switches to zero emissions by the end of the decade. This announcement comes just a few weeks after Honda announced that it would cease production of the Clarity Fuel Cell sedan/Plug-in Hybrid. Japanese automaker Honda is also developing its own EV platform. It will be available to the public in the second decade of the decade, following its partnership with GM. It will be known as “architecture” and will be available in other North American markets.

Automotive News published a report at the beginning of the year claiming that Honda’s electric SUV will be smaller than Acura. Nothing has been confirmed. Rumors suggest that the Honda model could have been made in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico while the Acura model was manufactured in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
