2024 GMC Electric Sierra Denali – GMC will announce its third pure-electric vehicle after the Hummer EV pickup truck and SUV. The new zero-emissions vehicle is based on the Sierra full-size pickup truck. It will only be available with the Denali trim. It will be made at General Motors Factory Zero in Detroit, Hamtramck, and Michigan. It is too early to talk about pricing but it is obvious that it will be more affordable than the Hummer. The Sierra Denali is more practical and lifestyle-oriented, while the Hummer is more functional. The first official preview shows a striking front fascia with large L-shaped LED lights. This is complemented by an illuminated GMC logo, and a frame to support the grille. To mirror the Hummer, three sequential lights are also available.
2024 GMC Electric Sierra Denali Review
This teaser is quite a wait considering we first heard of plans for an electric Sierra a year ago from Lynn Thompson, Thompson Buick GMC Cadillac in Springfield, Missouri. Logic claims it will look mechanically identical to the Silverado EV that debuts at CES in Las Vegas, on January 5, 2022. The GMC will be revealed later than the Silverado EV and will enter production in 2023. The Ultium platform of GM will be used to build these two electric trucks.
They will be competing against the Rivian R1T and F-150 Lightning electric trucks, for which Ford has already received 200,000 reservations. The Silverado is expected to arrive on the assembly lines in early 2023. It will also be the first of two upcoming EV pickups to hit the market. GMC Electric Sierra Denali will be equipped with rear-wheel steering and large windows, making it more luxurious than its Silverado sibling.
2024 GMC Electric Sierra Denali Launched
When fully launched, the Sierra will debut without any combustion engines. It should be capable of traveling at least 400 miles. We don’t have much information about the details but we know it will contain premium materials and offer the same capabilities that GMC trucks are known for.
