2024 Ford Everest Truck-based SUV – Ford is on an upward trend when it comes to new products. The third-generation Everest arrives just as ladder-frame SUVs are becoming more popular. The 2022 Ranger was the inspiration for this three-row family hauler. It has the same innovations found in the midsize truck. It has wider tracks (+50mm/1.97inches), which provides greater stability on the road. The dampers have been modified to increase off-road performance.
2024 Ford Everest Truck-based SUV Review
Its styling is nearly identical to that of the Ranger, with an almost identical front fascia. The SUV’s body is wider than the Ranger, with longer rear doors that allow for easy access to the rear seats. The truck’s taillights are longer than those of an SUV and have a wider bar at the end that bears the “Everest” lettering.
Ford’s three-row “sanctuary”, or Ford as it is known, has undergone massive changes. The new Everest gets the SYNC4 infotainment. The portrait-oriented touchscreen measures 10.3inches on the lower trims. Higher-end models have a 12-inch diagonal. The digital instrument cluster can be used in any model, and it comes in a variety of sizes, ranging from 8 to 12.3 inches.
Engine & Performance
The engine lineup includes the usual suspects, with the turbodiesel 3.0-liter Turbodiesel-V6 at the top. Everest will have a 2.0-liter diesel engine that can be equipped with one or two turbochargers depending on the market. The EcoBoost gasoline engine will be available for the body-on-frame SUV. These engines can be driven either with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic depending on the engine.
Ford claims a water wading depth of 800mm (2.6 feet), and the roof can hold static loads upto 350 kg (772 lbs) or dynamic loads upto 100 kg (220 lbs). A second battery can be installed in the engine bay to provide power for various accessories that will enhance Everest’s outdoorsy nature.
The 2023 Ford Everest features a 360-degree camera, matrix-led headlights, adaptive cruise controller, and lane-keeping assist. Blue Oval offers an automatic evasive steer assist to help prevent collisions if brakes alone are not sufficient. In the event of an accident, the post-collision brake activates to prevent another accident. Although Everest is a big SUV, it can still park on its own. The all-around cameras and parking sensors at the front and back allow it to drive out. Blindspot can accommodate trailers up to 10m (32.8ft) long and 2.4m (7.9ft) wide.
