2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS Sporty – General Motors teased Wednesday the arrival of the Chevrolet Blazer electric crossover in spring 2023 and its debut later in the year. The vehicle will also come in an “SS”, performance version. The Chevy SS badge for SuperSport, which was introduced in the early days of muscle-car eras has been a Chevy hallmark. This badge usually signifies a higher level of performance.

The Blazer is one of two affordable electric crossovers on the horizon. The Blazer is not the first electric crossover to be released, but GM has provided a detailed look at GM’s $30,000 Chevy Equinox EV, which will also be available in 2023.

Chevrolet has not yet shown the silhouette of its electric Blazer. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Equinox EV photos featured a touchscreen version of their interface. This interface appears to be a step up from the one that was shown for Cadillac Lyriq.

GM stated that Chevy’s electric cross-overs would be affordable and not too expensive. These two crossovers will serve as a prelude to a lower-priced GM EV that will be available by the middle of the next decade. It will also include a successor to the Bolt EV. Both the nameplate and SS designation are indications that GM’s mainstream brand will continue to market its EVs. It intends to continue to offer fully-electric versions to some of its most well-recognized brands. 2020 was the year GM teased a vintage eBlazer converter and displayed an eCrate package based on its Ultium propulsion system. GM said that a custom-built option was still being developed.
