The ID.3 Cabriolet roof is shorter. The car’s overall length is not affected by the roof. To add drama, two doors are larger. The trim was removed from the front and the caps on the side mirrors were given a black look. The car was digitally painted green. It would have been interesting to see the whole rear end design and the roof mechanism. The rendering artist was able to do this.

This writer believes that an open-top Volkswagen ID.3 is not a good idea, even though it’s less controversial than the T-Roc Cabriolet. The vehicle would be heavier if it needed additional reinforcement. This is not feasible. Second, and most importantly, it’s not economically feasible to develop convertible hatchbacks.
