The e-308 will be equipped with a 54-kilowatt-hour battery. This battery will provide 4 kWh more power than the e208’s and 50 kWh of usable energy. This improved battery technology will allow the model to travel nearly 250 miles (400km) and provide a similar range to Europe’s WLTP cycle. Autocar reports that the EV will boast 154 horsepower (114 kilowatts) and 199 pound-feet (269 Newton-meters), which will be routed directly to the front wheels.

Powertrain

The all-electric powertrain will be available for both the SW wagon and the 308 hatches. Peugeot will conceal the rest of the powertrain hardware underneath the hood and place batteries under the seats. The Peugeot 308 plug-in hybrid’s rear cargo area should be the same as that of the Peugeot 308 hybrid. Customers can expect the same high-tech cabin as the model. It should also offer 100-kilowatt fast charge.

2023 Peugeot E-308 Released

After production starts next July, deliveries of the E-308 will begin. Peugeot will also provide pricing information closer to the on-sale date. It will be fascinating for the public and the press to compare it with both the internal combustion engine and the plug-in hybrid. Agnes TessonFaget is Peugeot’s 308 brand manager. She stated that the company anticipates that the e-308 would account for only 20% of the model’s sales once it reaches dealers. We will have to wait more than a year until the plug-in hybrid 308 accounts for more than 20% of all 308 sales.
