2023 Maserati Grecale EV Revealed

2023 Maserati Grecale EV – Maserati’s Grecale crossover will play a significant role in expanding its EV range. Folgore is the name of all Maserati electric cars. This Italian word means “lightning”, and Maserati revealed the 2024 Grecale Folgore alongside the standard model. The gas-powered models Modena and Grecale GT will be available in the summer. The Folgore will not be available until 2023’s fall.

While we wait, Maserati shared details about the EV. The battery pack for the EV is 105.0-kWh lithium-ion. The EV’s electric motors will produce 590-pound feet of torque. We assume there will only be two. Maserati has not yet confirmed whether the battery information refers either to net capacity or usable. However, the Grecale Folgore packs looks like it will be the best in its class. The Audi Q4 etron’s 77.0-kWh battery provides usable energy. This torque figure is comparable with the Grecale Trofeo’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, 457-pounds-feet.

From a visual perspective, the Folgore is identical to the gas-powered model, but it has a few differences. The fenders have Folgore wheels and badges. Different concave grilles are available. The photo shows the vehicle finished in a unique copper-colored called Rame Folgore. Maserati claims that it will use recycled fabrics for the interior of the Folgore. Econyl is a recycled nylon material. The Grecale Folgore doesn’t ride on any of Stellanti’s electric platforms. It instead uses a modified Giorgio platform. This platform supports both the standard Grecale and other gas models such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Maserati confirmed that the Folgore will have an all-wheel drive, but we are not sure what this means for the battery pack or electric motors.
