Exterior

The exterior appearance is complete with F-150 Rattler badges on the fenders. Ford has added rattlesnake graphics on the fenders. What name is more complete without a graphic?  Ford included dual exhausts on the pickup since an animal that doesn’t rattle is really just an ordinary snake. Ford says it will make “a bold sound” so the pickup will be able to make a sound when you press the gas pedal away from the cabin. Ford didn’t put snakeskin seats in the F-150 Rattler even though it ought to. Ford did perform some interior modifications, however. For a look that is reminiscent of the desert, it is the F-150 Rattler that has Onyx-colored seats and bronze accents that have been burnished.

Another interesting feature is the seat stitching that coincides with the trim of the instrument panel. It makes the design appear more unified than a simple contrast stitch. This should make this F-150 Rattler seem more complete rather than a handful of lightly connected stickers and tape. The photos of the truck’s owner include wood trim on the side-viewing dashboard and bronze trim on the central console. This combo creates an appearance that could be an offshoot of the less-spec version however it doesn’t appear to be cheap when compared with the dealer. Ford will sell the F-150 Rattler in SuperCab or SuperCrew. Ford’s brand name is for extended-cab and crew-cab vehicles. Regular cab buyers, sorry! While Ford hasn’t yet released details on the engines that will be part of the Rattler package, we can speculate from Ford’s list of options.

Engine

FX4 options aren’t offered with the 290 horsepower, 3.3L V6. It’s going to cost a minimum of $1192 for the 325 horsepower EcoBoost V6 and slightly greater on a 5.0L EcoBoost V8 or the 3.5L EcoBoost engines.
